I believe this product is essential for any police officer, corrections officer, and military personnel. In my experience, police officers consider their vest as important as their firearm, but do not care for their vest properly; the photo of the locker room is spot on. The biggest complaints about vests I have heard in the last 12 years of my service, in a department of about 850, is the stench, stretching, and curling that occurs from poor vest maintenance. I truly believe these complaints are the biggest reason officers often do not wear their vests, especially in the hot summer month; which is, as you know, also the busiest, and most violent, time of the year.
